Pregnancy yoga classeS
Empower yourself during this journey of pregnancy. These classes will help you connect to your body and your baby on a deeper level by offering movement, breath work and visualisations. It will enable you to embrace your intuition and harness your inner strength, allowing you to create a nurturing environment for your baby to grow and live in.
The classes will cover:
Prenatal basics, modifications and connecting with your new body and baby.
Breath Work for pregnancy, finding balance physically and mentally.
Stabilising and Releasing Postures. Stabilise pelvic and sacral joints, tone the pelvic floor and transverse abdominus. Relieve tightness in the body.
Strengthening - building strength in the body and mind.
Restorative yoga and meditations.
Birth preparation, breathing for labour and postnatal yoga.
Pregnancy yoga is designed to reduce the aches and pains that accompany pregnancy in a nurturing and supportive environment. Join other pregnant women as you strengthen your physical body with yoga, bring clarity and fearlessness to your mind through breathing and meditation, and prepare yourself for a conscious childbirth.
Classes
Students are welcome to join the regular yoga classes on the timetable. The most suitable classes for pregnancy are Yin Yoga, Yin Yang, or Hatha Yoga. All classes are open level and all teachers are pregnancy trained. Please let the teacher know that you are pregnant so they can assist you to adjust the postures to make the class pregnancy-friendly.
