Background: I was born in South India into a lineage of healers. My grandfather was a respected Ayurvedic and Varma Kalai healer, known for his wisdom and healing touch. His life’s work planted the first seeds of my own path.
My journey into yoga began from a place of deep personal struggle — liver disorder, unhealthy habits, and spiritual uncertainty. With a nursing degree, I explored both modern medicine and modern yoga, but felt a call to something deeper. Inspired by my heritage, I turned fully to holistic yoga. That choice took me into a life of deep immersion — living as a monk in a South Indian ashram, meditating in ancient Shiva temples, meditating on himalayan ranges and training in the authentic Vinyasa Krama tradition.
Why I practice: For me, yoga is not simply a profession or a form of exercise — it is my culture, my faith, my tradition, and my spiritual practice. It is the way I return to balance, shed old patterns, and reconnect with my true self. Every practice is a journey inward — listening deeply, honouring the breath, and aligning with the rhythm of life.
Why I teach:My gurus and mentors entrusted me with the responsibility to preserve yoga in its purest form, as it was intended. I teach because yoga transformed me, and I know it can do the same for others — not just in body, but in mind and spirit. My classes are breath-led, personalized, and rooted in tradition, guiding students toward transformation, empowerment, and self-discovery.
