Everyone is unique and in a different place or space in their life. We encourage you to find a Yoga style that suits you. If you are still unsure, we suggest getting a Newbie Pass to come along and try out a few different classes and see what suits you best.

 

FLOW & BODY ALIGNMENT

Vinyasa Flow

Incorporates the eastern principles of moving inward and the western need for physical activity. The sequencing is often built around the sun salutations. Expect to build heat, strength, flexibility, and endurance to music. Emphasis is on body alignment and breath while you flow through dynamic sequences of movement.

Hatha

Hatha Yoga is great for anyone wanting to practice at a relaxed pace to build solid foundations. It focuses on posture alignment and the development of strength, flexibility, and stability. This class is taught in a classical style with no music. A great practice for rehabilitation of injuries and for developing a strong base for other hatha yoga practices, such as Vinyasa. This is a perfect class for beginners to learn the basic yoga postures for any class. 

VINYASA MASTERCLASS

This class is for the yogi who desires more than what the standard yoga class offers. The sequencing will advance your yoga practice to the next level, including inversions, advanced backbends, arm balances and strength-building postures. This class is for students who have been practicing yoga for a minimum of two years.*

RESTORATIVE 

Yin Yoga

A meditative slow-paced class that explores long, deep stretching to enhance joint mobility, improve flexibility, and healing to the body’s connective tissues. You will enjoy a deep stretch especially through the hips, pelvis and spine. A perfect antidote to stressful busy lifestyles, runner’s stiffness, and cluttered minds.

 

KUNDALINI

Kundalini Yoga & Meditation

Kundalini Yoga (as taught by Yogi Bhajan) uses movement, sound current (mantra), breath and meditation to relax and heal your mind and body to allow the spirit to flow freely. A great way to recharge and heal your body quickly by stimulating the glandular, nervous and immune systems, improving strength and flexibility, and centering the mind. 

Aquarian Sadhana

Sadhana keeps the mind clear to accurately guide our actions and go beyond our ego and limitations. It is an opportunity to clean up our inner world before we engage in the outer world. Sadhana begins with Japji (traditional Sikh prayer), followed by Kundalini Yoga, chanting and meditation. We require you to have attended at least one Kundalini Yoga class before coming along. Sadhana is guided as a self lead practice. 

 

MEDITATION

YOGA NIDRA

A practice of deep relaxation in which you are systematically guided to relax your body and mind. Aspects of the practice include sense withdrawal, relaxation of the body, breath awareness, the awareness of sensations, guided imagery, and visualisation. Many benefits are associated with the practice and its associated levels of relaxation. Yoga Nidra can be a powerful tool for transforming and re-creating your life.

GONG BATH

This sound therapy meditation is a very ancient healing technique where the gong is played in a therapeutic way that ‘bathes’ the group in sound waves. The sound vibrations of the gong move through your body clearing blocks, releasing tension and bringing a sense of well-being to the whole body. This class is great for anyone wanting to relax and re-charge.

FAMILY

Pregnancy Yoga

Pregnancy yoga is designed to reduce the aches and pains that accompany pregnancy in a nurturing and supportive environment. Join other pregnant women as you strengthen your physical body with yoga, bring clarity and fearlessness to your mind through breathing and meditation, and prepare yourself for a conscious childbirth.

Please note: If you are pregnant you are also welcome to come to any other yoga classes on our timetable during your pregnancyAll teachers of these classes are pregnancy yoga trained and are able to modify any postures when necessary.

MUMS and BUBS + Tots

A Yoga class designed for you to be able to bring your child along whether baby or toddler and nurture them, while you also focus on nurturing yourself. The focus will be to rebuild your body through yoga which will help to recondition your pelvic floor muscles, stretch and strengthen your back muscles, and release tension from your shoulders all while your child is in front of you on a blanket or playing with toys we provide them with. It is a great chance to discover how to become centered and present in their world, cultivating a mindfulness that enhances your parenting on and off the mat.

Kids Yoga

Kid’s Yoga is FUN! Classes use stories and music to accompany our fun and educational “journeys” to exotic lands. The children use their imaginations and Animal Yoga postures to learn new vocabulary, develop motor and movement skills, and to understand balance and relaxation through meditation and breath. Partner poses and group meditations give children the experience of teamwork and trust with others.

Teens are welcome to ALL classes on the regular class timetable.

 

Community Yoga

Vinyasa Flow

This class is designed for newly trained teachers to gain experience teaching Vinyasa classes. Each week the class will be taught by a different teacher, with a senior teacher also present. This class is at 11.30am – 12.30pm on Sunday's and is by $5 donation to Yoga Education in Prisons Trust.

Kundalini Yoga and Meditation

This class is designed for newly trained teachers to gain experience teaching Kundalini Yoga and Meditation classes. Each week the class will be taught by a different teacher with a senior teacher also present. This class is at 11am – 12pm on Wednesday's and is by $5 donation to Yoga Education in Prisons Trust.
