Yoga Influences: My life and what is going on for me is reflected in my teaching and in my own practice. Living in LA for 7 years and the incredible yoga community there has played a big part in my yoga adventure.

Background: Many moons ago an injury led me to Bikram yoga and my yoga journey expanded from there. When I moved to Los Angeles in 2008 I discovered power vinyasa, dynamic classes set to amazing music and my life changed forever! As my practice deepened and became something more than physical, I started to see how this beautiful practice can transform how you walk through life. Beside teaching I now run retreats all over the world through my company Jack & Olive Retreats. 

Why I practice: To bring myself back to my breath and to feel what is going on in my body. Yoga is a safe place for me, getting onto my mat is like coming home. The world changes incessantly, life is in constant flux, yoga grounds me and gives me faith in myself, my body and breath.  

Why I teach: If more people stopped to breathe a bit deeper, sit in stillness more often, listen to their bodies and hearts, and quieten their minds, the world would be a very different place. I want to share the tools that help people with this, that I learned from my amazing teachers. Yoga also keeps the most important parts of your physical body - your joints - happy and healthy. You’re only as young as the state of your spine, hips and knees.
